How does the purge knob work?

Changes in altitude pressure and geographic location can create a vacuum that effectively seals watertight cases shut. S3’s purge knob valve equalizes the pressure within the case to make it easier to open. Once the air is equalized by twisting the knob to the left, make sure you screw it tight to the right so it’s sealed shut.
